Abstract:
Provided is a fiber-reinforced resin hollow cylindrical body provided with impact energy absorption that is torsion-resistant and can be used in an energy absorption member such as a crash box. The fiber-reinforced resin hollow cylindrical body comprises: a reinforced fiber thread; and a resin composition impregnated with the reinforced fiber thread. The reinforced fiber thread has a fiber diameter D of 10.0 to 18.0 μm, the reinforced fiber thread has a weight T of 100 to 1500 tex, the reinforced fiber thread in the fiber-reinforced resin hollow cylindrical body has a volume content rate V of 40.0 to 80.0 %, and the above D, T, and V satisfy the following formula (1). (1) 0.090 ≦ T1/4 × V/D3 ≦ 0.155
