Abstract:

Provided is a fiber structure in which an ultrafine fiber layer and a base material layer are complexed at a deep level. A fiber structure comprising an ultrafine fiber layer (10) that spreads in a planar direction and a base material layer (20) adjacent to said ultrafine fiber layer, wherein: the ultrafine fiber layer (10) is composed of ultrafine fibers with a number average single fiber diameter of 5 μm or less and the base material layer (20) is composed of non-ultrafine fibers with a number average single fiber diameter of at least 7 μm. In a cut section of the fiber structure in the thickness direction, in addition to the base material layer (1) having an intermingled section (12), in which ultrafine fibers are pushed in between the non-ultrafine fibers and spread in the transverse direction, at least some (14) of the ultrafine fibers pushed in from the ultrafine fiber layer reach the deep region (D) when the base material layer is divided into three equal parts, a proximal region (P), a central region (C), and deep region (D), in order, from the ultrafine fiber layer side.
