Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a fibrous cellulose composite resin having high strength, and a method for producing a fibrous cellulose composite resin having high strength. [Solution] A fibrous cellulose composite resin comprising a fibrous cellulose and a resin, characterized in that the fibrous cellulose is a carbamated microfibrous cellulose in which some or all of the hydroxy groups are substituted by carbamate groups and which has a Fine ratio A of 25% or more and a fibrillation ratio of 1.0% or less. A production method of the fibrous cellulose composite resin comprises: processing a starting pulp into a strip-shaped pulp sheet by papermaking; coating the pulp sheet with urea and/or a urea derivative and heating to give a carbamated pulp sheet; defibering the carbamated pulp sheet to give a carbamated microfibrous cellulose having a Fine ratio A of 25% or more and a fibrillation ratio of 1.0% or less; and kneading the carbamated microfibrous cellulose with a resin.
