Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a microfibrous-cellulose-containing substance which is excellent in terms of flowability and redispersibility. The present invention relates to a fibrous-cellulose-containing substance which comprises fibrous cellulose having a fiber width of 1,000 nm or less, water, and a water-soluble organic compound, wherein the content of the fibrous cellulose is 5 mass% or higher with respect to the total mass of the fibrous-cellulose-containing substance, the content of water is 1 mass% or higher with respect to the total mass of the fibrous-cellulose-containing substance, and the water-soluble organic compound is solid at 20ºC and has a number-average molecular weight of 2,000 or lower.
