Abstract:
The present invention relates to a field magnet unit that can be suitably employed in a power conversion device. Provided in the present invention is a cylindrical field magnet unit (1) having a hollow portion (11) at the center part thereof. The field magnet unit (1) comprises a housing in which a coil member (40) is accommodated. The housing comprises a body (10) and a cover (50), and the cover (50) is coupled to the upper side of the body (10). The body (10) and the cover (50) are formed from a magnetizable material. The housing preferably includes Steel-Cr-Mo (SCM) alloy steel (SCM 456), and is more preferably heat-treated. An annular accommodation groove (12) is provided with a hollow portion (11) as the center thereof at the upper side of the body (10), and the coil member (40) is pressed into to the accommodation groove. The coil member (40) is formed from a wound conducting wire coated with an insulating material, and the coil member (40) includes first and second terminals (41a, 41b) for supplying a field magnet current from the outside. The first and second terminals (41a, 41b) are withdrawn to the outside of the housing.
