Abstract:
Provided are: a filamentous fungus variant that is effective in improving C4-dicarboxylic acid producing ability; and a C4-dicarboxylic acid production method using said filamentous fungus variant. This C4-dicarboxylic acid production method comprises culturing a filamentous fungus variant having an enhanced expression of a polypeptide that exhibits a catalase activity and that has an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 or an amino acid sequence sharing at least 90% identity with the sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2.
