Abstract:
A file management system and a file management method for efficiently transferring files from a computer on the user side to a server on the service provider side. A plurality of computers (10) and a service provider (11) are connected via a computer network (12). When a file is transferred (uploaded) from the computer (10) of the user side to a user area (39) set up in customer file storage (32) of the service provider (11) side, the file to be transferred is transferred to an upload management server (37) according to a pre-set file transfer condition and, after the file is normally transferred, the file to be transferred is transferred to the user area (39).
