Abstract:
A filing instrument, comprising an operating member (18) having a pair of operating pieces (30) and (32) allowed to abut on each other in the holding space of a holding member (16) and held movably in the longitudinal direction of the holding member (16), space parts (36a) and (38a) formed to be extended in the longitudinal direction of the operating member (18) in a part of the abutting parts of the pair of operating pieces (30) and (32), spring member fixing parts (36a) and (38a) formed to be projected from the pair of operating pieces (30) and (32) so as to face the holding member (16) in the longitudinal direction, and a spring member (40) stored in the spaces (36a) and (38a) with both ends of the winding part (44) thereof locked to the spring member fixing parts (36a) and (38a). Fixed tip parts (42a) and (42b) of the spring member (40) extending from both ends of the winding part (44) are supported on the support parts (36c) and (38c) of the operating pieces (30) and (32) facing the operating pieces (30) and (32) on which the spring member fixing parts (36a) and (38a) locked to the end parts of the winding part (44) are formed. When split rods (12a) and (12b) and (14a) and (14b) are combined with each other to form the filing rods (12) and (14), a distance between the both side tip parts (42a) and (42b) of the spring member (40) in the longitudinal direction of the holding member (16) is smaller than a distance between both ends of the winding part (40).
