Abstract:
[Problem] To improve the moisture resistance of a film capacitor.
[Solution] A film capacitor 1 which is provided with: a film capacitor element 2 that is provided with an external electrode and a film capacitor main body 4 comprising a dielectric film 8 and an electrode film 9; an insulating covering member 3 that covers the film capacitor element 2; and a terminal electrode 6. The terminal electrode 6 is connected to the external electrode 5, and comprises a covered part 6c that is covered by the covering member 3 and an exposed part 6e that is not covered by the covering member, while having a through hole 13 at a boundary part 12 between the covered part 6c and the exposed part 6e, said through hole 13 penetrating through the terminal electrode 6 in the thickness direction. If s is the width and t is the thickness of the terminal electrode 6 in the boundary part 12, and w is the length of the through hole 13 in the width direction of the terminal electrode 6, w is larger than t.
