Abstract:

A laminate which has a substrate layer comprising a thermoplastic resin film and a gas−barrier layer comprising a hydrolyzate of a silicon alkoxide, a layer silicate and a polyvinyl alcohol based resin, characterized in that the gas−barrier layer exhibits a radius of gyration (Rg) of a scatterer of 2.4 μm or less as measured by the light scattering method, and the gas−barrier layer has a silicon alkoxide or the hydrolyzate thereof being present between the layers of the layer silicate. A film comprising the laminate exhibits excellent gas−barrier properties even in a high humidity atmosphere of more than 90 % RH.
