Abstract:
Provided is a film-forming composition with which it is possible to form a film having a high adherence to a substrate, and which has good gas barrier properties. Also provided is a sheet provided with a film formed using said film-forming composition. The film-forming composition is obtained by mixing a silane coupling agent into a water-based dispersion liquid comprising cellulose nanofibers dispersed in a water-based medium. As an alternative, a water-based dispersion liquid (a) having a pH of 4 to 9 and containing cellulose nanofibers, and a hydrolysate (b) having a pH of 2 to 4 and containing a hydrolyzed alkoxy silane, are mixed in such a manner that the mass ratio of cellulose nanofibers to alkoxy silane (SiO2 equivalent) falls within the range of 0.1 to 5.
