Abstract:
Disclosed is a film which is improved in curling and suitable for a polarizing
plate in the form of a thin film. Also disclosed are a method for producing such
a film, a polarizing plate using such a film, and a liquid crystal display. Specifically
disclosed is a film to be bonded to a polarizer of a polarizing plate. This film
is characterized in that it has a thickness of not less than 10 μm and not
more than 70 μm. This film is also characterized in that it has a surface
A and a surface B opposite to the surface A, and the refractive index difference
between the surface A and the opposing surface B is not less than 5 × 10-4
and not more than 5 × 10-3.
