Abstract:
Disclosed is a film production device and production method that are able to effectively suppress necking in by means of reducing, as much as possible, the length of a molten resin between being expelled from the outlet of a die until contacting the surface of a cooling roller. The film production device produces a film by pulling a molten resin extruded downwards from the outlet, which is provided to the die, using a cooling roller that rotates positioned below said outlet, and cooling and solidifying the molten resin using the cooling roller. The film production device is further provided with a fluid supply section that supplies a fluid to the space between the outlet and the cooling roller therebelow, and the device is such that the fluid pressure is applied in the direction that pushes back against the liquid resin that is present in the space and that is being displaced and pulled in the direction of rotation of the cooling roller.
