Abstract:
The present invention achieves an optical film having a pattern section with first and second regions repeatedly arranged in the longitudinal direction thereof by such a method as pattern exposure by an intermittent exposure method, and provides the optical film as a roll that is wound continuously in the longitudinal direction and is practically advantageous. This film roll, which is wound continuously in the longitudinal direction, includes a pattern section having a first phase difference region and a second phase difference region that are alternately arranged in plane and have mutually different in-plane slow axis directions, and has at least two or more of said pattern sections in the longitudinal direction of the roll.
