Abstract:
A filter assembly is disclosed. An embodiment of the present invention may provide a filter assembly comprising: a housing having a containing space formed therein so as to communicate with an external raw water supply portion and a purified water discharge portion, respectively; a filter portion formed to extend from one direction toward the other direction and contained in the containing space of the housing such that raw water supplied from the external raw water supply portion is filtered, thereby generating purified water; and a cover portion contained in the containing space of the housing so as to support the filter portion. The filter portion comprises: a first filtering portion configured such that the raw water supplied thereto is filtered while passing therethrough primarily; and a second filtering portion made of a different material from the first filtering portion and positioned radially inside of the first filtering portion such that the raw water that has passed through the first filtering portion is filtered while passing therethrough secondarily. The first filtering portion is formed to surround the radial outside of the second filtering portion while being spaced apart from the second filtering portion, and is provided as a hollow fiber membrane comprising multiple strips. Each strip comprises one end and the other end positioned to be biased in the one direction; and at least one bent portion continuous with the one end and the other end and positioned biased in the other direction. The raw water supplied is filtered while passing through the first filtering portion and the second filtering portion, and thus is provided as purified water.
