Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter capsule (10) with liquid control for the filtration of an aqueous medium (13) in a bioprocess, comprising a capsule housing (1), a filter (7), an inlet connection (9) and an outlet connection (11, 31). The filter capsule comprises a liquid sensor (5) integrated into the capsule housing (1) or arranged on said capsule housing (1). The liquid sensor (5) detects the presence or absence of a liquid, and is configured such that a signal is issued upon a change of state regarding the presence or absence of a liquid.
