Abstract:
Provided is filter coefficient optimization technology that enables design of a beam former that is good quality and stable, by taking into account filter coefficient relationships between adjacent frequency bins. This filter coefficient optimization device includes an optimization unit that calculates an optimal value for filter coefficients w={w1,…,wF} (where wf is the filter coefficient of the frequency bin f) of a beam former that emphasizes a sound (target sound) from D sound sources. Defining af,d as an array manifold vector of a frequency bin f corresponding to a sound wave of a planar wave arriving from a direction θd where a sound source d is present, the optimization unit calculates an optimal value on the basis of the optimization problem of a cost function defined using the sum of a prescribed normalization term and the sum of a cost function LMV_f(wf) under a prescribed constraint condition. The prescribed normalization term is defined using the phase difference between adjacent frequency bins relating to a response wf Haf,d of a beam former at a frequency bin f with respect to a direction θd.
