Abstract:
A filter device having one or more elastic resonators, wherein the one or more elastic resonators each have a piezoelectric film that has piezoelectric properties, and an IDT electrode that has a plurality of electrode fingers and is positioned on the upper surface of the piezoelectric film. The thickness T of the piezoelectric film satisfies formula (1), where a value that is double the pitch of the plurality of electrode fingers is defined as λ, and the duty of the plurality of electrode fingers is defined as d. The filter device has a second attenuation electrode, which operates using sub-resonance of the one or more elastic resonators, on the high-frequency side of a passband. Formula (1): 0.154λd≤T≤0.264λd. In this instance, λd satisfies formula (2). Formula (2): λd=λ/(–0.6111×d2–0.1792×d+1.2449).
