Abstract:
A filter generation device according to this embodiment generates a filter for performing processing for localizing outside the head on a high-resolution digital audio signal, wherein the filter generation device is provided with microphones (2L, 2R) and a filter generation unit (351) for generating a filter corresponding to a transmission characteristic from left and right speakers (5L, 5R) to the left and right microphones (2L, 2R). A predetermined frequency not exceeding the Nyquist frequency of a sound pickup signal is taken to be a first frequency (24 kHz). The filter generation unit (351) sets an amplitude component of a low-frequency band (BL) of the filter in accordance with a frequency-amplitude characteristic of the sound pickup signal, and generates the filter so that an amplitude component of a high-frequency band (BH) of the filter joins to the amplitude component of the low-frequency band BL.
