Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a filter for humidification which has low air permeation resistance and a high efficiency of contact between gas and moisture and hence has high humidifying performance and which has satisfactory handleability and has a long life because removal of deposits therefrom is easy. The filter for humidification comprises a knit fabric layer comprising one or more sheets of knit fabric having a plurality of openings and pile yarns provided to at least one surface of the knit fabric layer, wherein the pile yarns comprise yarns having a length of 2-15 mm. Also provided is a filter for humidification which comprises a knit fabric layer composed of two or more sheets of knit fabric having a plurality of openings and pile yarns provided to the front and back surfaces of the knit fabric layer, wherein a net having a Gurley stiffness of 50-15,000 mN has been sandwiched between at least two of the sheets of knit fabric.
