Abstract:
[Problem] To inspect, accurately, efficiently and in a short period of time, a filter which collects particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas from a diesel engine. [Solution] The filter inspection system 10 according to one embodiment is for inspecting a filter 1300 which collects particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas from a diesel engine, the system comprising: a temperature modification device 11 which heats or cools the filter 1300 in such a manner that the temperature of the filter 1300 becomes a predetermined temperature higher or lower than the ambient temperature, and a measurement device 12 which measures the temperature distribution of the exhaust gas passage surface of the filter 1300 which has been heated or cooled.
