Abstract:
A filter press contains a pack of filter plates (1) assembled between the support (2) and squeeze (3) plates, a mechanism (7) for displacing filter plates, a sediment discharging mechanism (15) with toothed racks (17) provided with upwardly directed teeth of a size at least equal to the length of movement of one filter plate, whereas additional racks (19) are mounted under the toothed racks and hingedly connected to them, the toothed racks being provided, in their turn, with hingedly mounted spring-actuated stops (24).
