Abstract:
Disclosed is a technology for changing the number of taps used in a filtering process without requiring a branching process. A filter processing device (151) comprises a computing unit that performs arithmetic processing for filtering, an internal register that retains data provided for the arithmetic processing of the computing unit and into which the results calculated by the computing unit are written, and a data generator for generating the data provided to the computing unit based on the data retained by the internal register. Finally, a tap number control circuit (100) capable of controlling the number of taps used for filtering based on provided tap control signals is installed. The tap number control implemented by the tab number control circuit does not require a branching process.
