Abstract:
The present invention provides a very rigid filter reinforcement material having excellent pleat workability without spalling or pleat adhesion while working the pleats. This filter reinforcement material is characterized by having: an adhesion layer configured from a thermally bonded nonwoven fabric containing thermal bondable short fibers; and a reinforcement layer configured from a nonwoven fabric containing refractory fibers with a melting point of 30°C or higher than the thermal bondable short fibers with the lowest melting point in the adhesion layer. In addition, the adhesion layer preferably contains two or more types of thermal bondable short fibers having a fiber fineness differential of 5 dtex or more.
