Abstract:

A fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel level gauge and a pressure regulator are held in a fuel tank by a cap which serves to close an opening of the fuel tank. The fuel filter is received in a filter housing having a C-shaped cross section, and a filter element is also C-shaped in cross section. Such filter element is formed by curving a preliminary assembly, which is laminated in a sheet-like manner, into a C-shape. Further, the fuel level gauge and other parts such as a fuel passage are arranged in an opened area of the C-shape, and the fuel filter and other parts are assembled at high density.
