Abstract:
A filter is provided which is structured to discourage passage of a contaminant in a molten material. The filter can be designed to block a range of contaminants. For example, a passage can be formed within the filter and structured to discourage passage of a contaminant. The surface of the passage can be formed having a number of alternating portions that can be used to discourage passage of another contaminant that may not be blocked by the passage.
