Abstract:
A cake filtration protection layer (34) is disposed between a filtration layer (32) in a filter (10) and a filtration layer (36) having a smaller average pore diameter than the filtration layer (32) on the downstream side of the filtration layer (32). The average pore diameter of the cake filtration protection layer (34) is greater than the average pore diameter of the filtration layer (32). Therefore, large particles (K1) that have passed through the filtration layer (32) and particles (K2) smaller than the particles (K1) accumulate on the surface (36A) of the filtration layer (36) and a cake filtration layer (50) is formed. Also, the cake filtration protection layer (34) is composed of a fiber material that is less liable to collapse under a compression load generated in the flow channel in comparison with at least the filtration layer (36) on the downstream side among the filtration layer (32) and the filtration layer (36).
