Abstract:
The present invention realizes a filter that can compensate for characteristics changes accompanying temperature change. This filter (1) comprises: a post wall waveguide that functions as resonators (201-205) that are coupled electromagnetically; and cavities (301a-305a) that are coupled electromagnetically with the resonators (201-205) with coupling windows (AP101a-AP105a) formed on a second conductor layer (6a) of the post wall waveguide interposed therebetween. A substrate (5) of the post wall waveguide includes a first dielectric layer comprising a first dielectric, and provided inside each cavity (301a-305a) is a second dielectric layer (9a) comprising a second dielectric. In the filter (1), the dielectric constant of the first dielectric increases in conjunction with temperature rise, and the dielectric constant of the second dielectric decreases in conjunction with temperature rise in the same range as the abovementioned temperature rise, or alternatively, the dielectric constant of the first dielectric decreases in conjunction with temperature rise, and the dielectric constant of the second dielectric increases in conjunction with temperature rise in the same range as the abovementioned temperature rise.
