Abstract:
The present invention relates to a filtering apparatus for ballast water treatment, and more particularly, to a filtering apparatus for ballast water treatment which: is formed such that a housing cover plate and discharge portion are separably coupled at the top of the housing so as to facilitate assembly, disassembly, and maintenance and repair of the filtering apparatus; has a support flange included on the side at which the discharge portion is coupled to the housing cover plate, wherein the support flange includes a projecting ledge formed to project therefrom such that the support flange can be inserted and coupled in a core through-hole defined in the housing cover plate so that the core through-hole defined in the housing cover plate may be used to accurately and easily couple the discharge portion to the housing cover plate; has a driveshaft coupling portion formed to protrude from the side at which the core that functions as a contaminant discharge passage is coupled to the driveshaft, has the driveshaft coupling portion coupled to the driveshaft through coupling means, and has the outer diameters of the coupling means and driveshaft coupling portion formed smaller than the outer diameter of the core so as to allow easy assembly or disassembly of the discharge portion or housing cover plate; is capable of preventing damage or disengagement of the coupling means even when subjected to frequent rotational or vertical movement; allows the driveshaft and core to be easily withdrawn even in tight spaces; and prevents ballast water from which contaminants have not been removed from flowing in through the intake nozzle and being discharged through the discharge portion.
