Abstract:
A filtering method and an image decoding device are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method by which an image decoding device performs filtering, comprising the steps of: determining, for a restored image, one or more block boundaries to which filtering is to be applied; setting the boundary strength of the block boundaries on the basis of the type of the block boundaries and preset conditions; and performing filtering on the basis of the set boundary strength.
