Abstract:
In a filtration apparatus, a filtration tank is provided with a raw water inlet, through which raw water is drawn in, and a filtered water outlet, which releases filtered water obtained by filtering raw water with a filter. The internal space of said filtration tank is divided into a plurality of compartments by filters, and said plurality of compartments is arranged alternately as inflow chambers that communicate with the abovementioned raw water inlet, and outflow chambers that communicate with the filtered water outlet. Said filtration apparatus is equipped with: a backwash collection pipe that faces the filters, thereby forming a water collection port in the inflow chamber; and a backwash discharge pipe, which is movably arranged on the surface of said filters, is connected to the backwash collection pipe, and extends outside the filtration tank. The backwash collection pipe receives backwash water, which flows through the filters from the outflow chamber side, from the abovementioned water collection port, uses backwash water to separate deposits that are trapped on the surfaces of the filters on the inflow chamber side, receives trapped deposits and backwash water from the abovementioned water collection port, and discharges the trapped deposits and backwash water as backwash discharge water through the backwash discharge pipe to the outside of the tank, thereby providing a filtration apparatus that is compact and able to filter large volumes.
