Title:
FILTRATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/046383
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A filtration device (10) has a filtration container into which dirty liquid is
introduced, a magnetic spherical filtration material (33) using a large number
of metal spheres (35), a magnet (45), and a vertically movable rod (50). The magnetic
spherical filtration material (33) is an aggregate of the large number of the
metal spheres (35) of a magnetic material and is received in a filtration material
reception section (32) such that each metal sphere (35) is movable. The magnet
(45) is movable relative to the magnetic spherical filtration material (33)
between a first position and a second position. At the first position, a magnetic
field is applied to the metal spheres (35) to cause the spheres to be magnetically
attracted to each other, which fixes the metal spheres (35) to each other. At the
second position, the magnetic attraction between the metal spheres (35) is cancelled
to allow the metal spheres (35) to move. The magnet (45) is moved to the first position
and second position by the vertically movable rod (50).
