Abstract:
The filtration device of one embodiment of the present invention comprises: one or more filtration modules each having a plurality of hollow fiber membranes extending in one direction, the one or more filtration modules each also having a pair of holding members to which the opposite ends of each of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes are affixed; and one or more cleaning modules for supplying gas bubbles from below the filtration modules. Each of the filtration modules has a structure wherein the plurality of hollow fiber membranes are arranged in a row in a curtain-like form on the bar-like holding members, and the holding members each have a plurality of regions arranged at intervals and having the plurality of hollow fiber membranes densely arranged therein in the longitudinal direction. Preferably, the average interval between the dense arrangement regions is in the range of 1/100 to 1, inclusive, of the average longitudinal length of the dense arrangement regions.
