Title:
FIN-AND-TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/027811
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a fin-and-tube heat exchanger in which condensate (condensation water) adhering to the surface is adequately drained, and any adverse effect on airflow resistance and heat exchange efficiency is minimized. This invention is provided with a plurality of flat tubes (3) arranged parallel to each other in the vertical direction and a plurality of plate-shaped fins (2) arranged parallel to each other in the direction orthogonal to the flat tubes. The plate-shaped fins are provided with tube insertion grooves (2a) opening at one widthwise end of the plate-shaped fins and extending in the width direction. The flat tubes have a flange part provided so as to extend along the flat tubes on at least one widthwise end part of the flat tubes, and have water discharge gaps (water channels (10)) formed between a plurality of cut-and-raised pieces (8) cut and raised from incisions provided in the flange part at an appropriate pitch along the longitudinal direction of the flat tubes. Once the flat tubes have been inserted into the tube insertion grooves of the plate-shaped fins, the cut-and-raised pieces are at least in contact with the plate-shaped fins and project to the exterior of the plate-shaped fins.
