Title:
FINE ABRASIVE GRAIN-CONTAINING BUFFING MATERIAL AND SHAFT-CARRYING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1998/058771
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A fine abrasive grain-containing buffing material formed of polyvinyl acetal sponge as a main component, and having a compressive elastic modulus of not more than 2000 kg/cm?2¿, wherein fine abrasive grains are fixed to a buffing material body. A shaft-carrying tool comprising this buffing material and a shaft member has high compatibility, elasticity, flexibility and polishing power with respect to a surface to be polished since the buffing material contains fixed fine abrasive grains. Therefore, this tool enables a surface having very small recesses and projections and complicated curved portions to be polished without using any conventional method of supplying fine abrasive grains from the outside. Especially, a dental restorative material which comprises a porcelain material can be finished and polished very conveniently and has a luster.
