Abstract:
Provided are: fine catalyst particles having high catalytic activity; and a method for producing fine catalyst particles. Specifically provided are fine catalyst particles, each of which comprises a center particle that contains a palladium alloy and an outermost layer that contains platinum. The fine catalyst particles are characterized by comprising an intermediate layer between the center particle and the outermost layer, said intermediate layer being composed only of elemental palladium.
