Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a fine cellulose fiber powder which can be easily dispersed in water or the like. One embodiment of the present invention provides a fine cellulose fiber powder which contains fine cellulose fibers and water, wherein: the average fiber width of the fine cellulose fibers is 1 nm to 1,000 nm; the fine cellulose fibers have a sulfuric acid ester group represented by general formula (1) (wherein n represents an integer of 1 to 3; Mn+ represents an n-valent positive ion; and the wiggly line denotes a binding site bound to another atom); the fine cellulose fibers has a sulfur introduction amount of 0.3 mmol/g to 3.0 mmol/g, the sulfur introduction being caused by sulfuric acid ester groups; the powder has a median diameter of 800 µm or less; and the powder has a moisture percentage of 50% by mass or less.
