Abstract:
A fine particle detection element (20) is provided with: a housing (22) having a gas flow path (24); an electric charge generation part (30) that forms electrified fine particles (P) by adding, to fine particles (26) in a gas, electric charges (28) generated through discharging; and a collection part (50) that collects the electrified fine particles (P). The gas flow path (24) has an expansion part (24c) in which the width of the gas flow path (24) becomes gradually wider from an inlet port (24a) toward the inner side between the inlet port (24a) and the electric charge generation part (30).
