Abstract:
Provided is a finger vein authentication device that can lessen a reduction in the authentication rate due to the pressure on a vein of the base part of a finger. In a biological authentication device for biological authentication using a finger vein, provided is a finger rest that is for a user to place his finger on and that has formed therein a space between the user's finger and a placement section due to the placement section for a finger having a V-shape. Further, in the biological authentication device for biological authentication using a finger vein, provided is the finger rest that is for a user to place his finger on and that has formed therein the space between the user's finger and the placement section due to the placement section for a finger having a curved valley shape that imitates an arc with a common tangent line in the center thereof.
