Abstract:
A fingerprint recognition method and apparatus. The method is applied to the technical field of fingerprint recognition. The method comprises: when a first fingerprint image is successfully matched, determining whether matching information of the first fingerprint image meets a first preset condition; when the matching information of the first fingerprint image meets the first preset condition, determining whether the accumulated number of updates of a second fingerprint template is greater than a first number threshold value; when the accumulated number of updates of the second fingerprint template is greater than the first number threshold value, determining whether priority information of the second fingerprint template meets a second preset condition; and when the priority information of the second fingerprint template meets the second preset condition, updating the second fingerprint template by using the first fingerprint image. By means of a plurality of determination conditions, a high-quality fingerprint image is screened to update a fingerprint template library. Matching is performed on the basis of the updated fingerprint template library, such that the fingerprint unlocking rate and unlocking speed can be improved, thereby improving the unlocking experience of a user.
