Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fingerprint storage system for an entrance door linked to a digital door lock, and to a method therefor. According to the present invention, visitors, such as delivery persons, are prompted to input their fingerprints in order to obviate instances in which such persons may turn out to be unlawful intruders, and also to quickly obtain information on the perpetrator when a crime does occur. Also, when a visitor attempting to commit a crime does not consent to inputting his/her fingerprints and is not admitted inside, image data of the potential criminal is captured and stored for a certain period of time such that said image data can be used as data for investigating crimes that have occurred in the vicinity. Since the fingerprint data and image data of the visitor is automatically deleted after a certain period of time has elapsed, strong home security measures can be implemented while providing improved user convenience.
