Abstract:
[Problem] To enable fire monitoring that uses all fire detectors, even if a wire break fault occurs in a loop transmission path along which a booster is provided. [Solution] A fire detector 18 is connected to a loop transmission path 12 connected to a receiver 10. When the loop transmission path 12 is normal, a communication connection is established from a transmission unit 22 to the fire detector 18 to monitor for fires. When a wire break fault occurs in the loop transmission path 12, a wire break monitoring control unit 28 turns ON switch circuits 30a, 30b, connects a terminal end of the loop transmission path 12 to the transmission unit 22, and establishes a communication connection from both ends of the loop transmission path 12 to the fire detector 18 to thereby monitor for fires. A switchable input-output booster 16 is inserted and connected along the loop transmission path 12. When a wire break occurs in a starting-end transmission path 12a and the switch circuits 30a, 30b are turned ON, input and output are switched so that a downlink signal input from a terminal-end transmission path 12b is amplified and output to the starting-end transmission path 12a, and an uplink signal input from the starting-end transmission path 12a is amplified and output to the terminal-end transmission path 12b.
