A fire-extinguishing composition, the fire-extinguishing composition being composed of the following substances by mass percentage: an aromatic organic acid compound 20%-90%, and a sugar compound 10%-80%; the fire-extinguishing composition uses the high temperature of pyrotechnic reagent combustion such that the fire-extinguishing composition produces a large amount of a fire-extinguishing substance. At a high temperature, the aromatic organic acid compound and the sugar compound may absorb heat, sublimate, decompose, react with each other, and release a large volume of the fire-extinguishing substance so as to extinguish a fire. The fire-extinguishing composition compensates for the loss in performance of an aerosol generating agent caused by a general cooling layer, and enhances the fire-extinguishing performance of a fire-extinguishing product as a whole, while reducing the temperature of a nozzle of the product; the fire-extinguishing composition has a low sediment hygroscopicity and high insulation resistance, is applicable in electrically charged places, and does not cause corrosion and other adverse effects on electrical equipment.
