Abstract:
Provided is a fabric loop-strip fastener that excels extraordinarily in fire resistance, that has high-level engaging power, and in which, even if exposed for a long term under high-temperature/high-humidity conditions, looped engagement elements are extremely unlikely to get pulled out of a fabric backing when the engagement is peeled apart. The fire-resistant loop-strip fastener is configured such that: the warp threads and the threads for the looped engagement elements are polyphenylene-sulfide-based multifilament fibers; the weft threads contain hot-melt adhesive multifilament fibers; the roots of the looped engagement elements are anchored to the fabric by fusion of the hot-melt adhesive multifilament fibers; and the looped engagement elements are composed of filament bundles of 350-800 decitex total thickness, in which 70-200 strands of filaments of 3-8 decitex average thickness are bundled together.
