Abstract:
A fire retardant for plastic in which a substance having a group having affinity at least for plastic is bonded to the surfaces of particles of a fire retardant inorganic compound containing no halogen and a fire retardant plastic in which the fire retardant so produced is blended in an amount which is effective to provide fire retardance. It is possible to provide a fire retardant for plastic which provides superior and high fire retardance to plastic, poses no environmental problem and is useful for environmental protection.
