Abstract:
A sliding door or window frame comprises a frame provided with a groove, and a thermally expandable refractory material that fits in the groove of the frame. The thermally expandable refractory material comprises a thermally expandable layer containing a thermally expandable graphite, and a non-expanding layer provided on one face of the thermally expandable layer. A projection is provided on a face of the non-expanding layer on the side that is opposite to or substantially perpendicular to the face on which the thermally expandable layer is provided, and the projection fits into the groove of the frame.
