Abstract:
Provided is a firing plate 1 which is to be used for firing a honeycomb molded body 100 and interposed between the honeycomb molded body 100 and a tray 102, said firing plate 1 comprising: a plate body 2 having a honeycomb placement surface 4 at least a portion of which comes into contact with a molded body end surface 101 of the honeycomb molded body 100 and carrying the honeycomb molded body 100 on the honeycomb placement surface 4; and a plate support portion 3 provided below the plate body 2 and supporting the plate body 2. The area S1 of the honeycomb placement surface 4 of the plate body 2 divided by the area S2 of a plate support surface 5 of the plate support portion 3 that comes into contact with the plate body 2 is in the range of 1.5 to 20.0.
