A fishing rod according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a hollow rod body extending from one end to the other end along a central axis; and a shaft member which has an outer circumferential surface inclined relative to the central axis, is inserted into the rod body from the one end, and is supported by an inner circumferential surface of the rod body at a support position located closer to the other end than the one end is in the axial direction along the central axis. In this embodiment, the inner circumferential surface of the rod body has at least one protrusion protruding from an imaginary curve toward the central axis between the support position and a one-end position in the axial direction when the imaginary curve is drawn in a region located radially outside the outer circumferential surface of the shaft member so as to be convex toward the central axis and pass through the support position and the one-end position, the one-end position being at the end of the inner circumferential surface on the one-end side.
