Description:
Fittinig of a linear light source The subject of the invention is a fitting of a linear light source designed in particular to build light lines to mark the traffic arteries, evacuation ways and contours of walls, stairs and the other architectural elements.

In the patent description of the P-341173 PL invention a design of the fitting of linear light source line has been presented. The fitting, according to the design, consists basically of two longitudinal shape mounting elements- of a seat and closing covers, which are separable joined with each other, having a space inside of which a linear light source is located. The closing cover is made of a light transmitting material.

The aim of the invention is to develop a fitting of a linear light source which enables to compose long light lines of possibly simple structure and easy mounting, A fitting of a linear light source makes up a longitudinal shape profile which includes at least one longitudinal seat for a linear light source, which has a form of a flexible conduit made of light transmitting material, containing several light emitting diodes (LED) along its whole length.

The essence of the fitting design according to the invention consists on it that the longitudinal profile seat) is open and has a shape of a transverse cross section corresponding to a shape of the transverse cross section of the conduit mounted in it, and the conduit pressed into the seat and the profile has at least one longitudinal arm to fasten the fitting directly or indirectly to its base.

The profile seat has a square shape in its transverse cross section and its side walls have longitudinal grooves.

-A longitudinal flat arm comes out at one side of the profile seat to fasten the fitting to its base and the seat is so inclined against the arm surface that its side wall which is at the other side of the arm is located below its outside surface. Inside the arm there is at least one longitudinal recess.

A longitudinal cover protrudes in an archway under the seat below the side wall of the seat located on the other side of the arm.

A longitudinal rib protrudes from the internal side of the cover, located parallel to the arm plane.

At the end of the profile there is a separably set stopper which closes the fitting.

The stopper ties the profile from outside however its side wall which covers the side of the profile has a shape of the profile cross-section.

The stopper is set on the profile with a longitudinal bend of its bottom part fastened on profile cover and with a pin coming out from inside of the side wall and entering the recess of the profile arm.

In the profitable version of the fitting the longitudinal arms come out symmetrically from the seat at its both sides which are connected with their mounting part of a close to U shape under the seat.

The profile seat has a partly open bottom, and a longitudinal slot makes its opening The profile arms are inclined from the seat towards the base.

The fitting according to the invention is characteristic of its simple structure of small number of component parts and thus of simple assembly.

The subject of the invention is showed on an execution example in the drawing, in which fig. 1-presents the fitting in its transverse cross-section, adapted for mounting on stair steps, fig. 2 presents in its transverse cross- section a fitting designed for mounting on walls and ceilings, fig. 3 presents the fitting stopper from fig. 1 from inside, and fig. 4-presents the fitting stopper from fig. 1 in a side view with a cross-section fragment.

The fitting of a linear light source according to the invention in its exemplary execution presented in fig. 1,3 and 4 is designed to light up the outline of stair steps. It consists of a longitudinal shape aluminum profile 1, linear light source which has a form of a flexible conduit 2 made of a light transmitting material, containing on its whole length several light emitting diodes (LEDs) and one or two stoppers 3 mounted on one or two ends of a profile 1. Profile 1 contains a longitudinal seal 4 with a conduit 2 pressed into it, whereas the seat 4 runs along the whole length of the profile 1. The longitudinal seat 4 of the profile 1 is open and has a shape of transverse cross-section corresponding to the shape of cross-section of the pressed in conduit 2 of square cross-section, and the side walls 5 of the seat 4 have longitudinal grooves 6. During pressing the conduit 2 into the seat 4 the flexible material of the conduit 2 enters the grooves 6 setting the conduit 2 securely in the seat 4. The conduit 2 after its setting fills out the seat 4 completely. Profile 1 has one longitudinal flat arm 7 running along its whole length, coming out at one side of the seat 4 and designed to fasten the fitting with screws to the base, which is a stair step in this example. The seat 4 is so inclined against the surface of arm 7 that its side wall 5 which is at the other side of the arm 7 is located below its outside surface. Inclination of the seat 4 is chosen to provide the same or nearly the same visibility of the light line for persons going up or down the stairs. The arm 7 has a longitudinal recess 8. at inside At the side wall 5 of the seat 4 located at the other side of the arm 7 a longitudinal cover 9 comes out arch wise under the seat 4, which runs along the whole length of the profile 1, whereas a longitudinal rib 10 of the same length comes out from its outside part, located in parallel to arm 7. The arch wise shape of the cover 9 running towards the vertical part of the stair step eliminates the possibility of stumbling on the fitting while going up the stairs and the rib 10 is a support of the cover 9 against the vertical part of the stair step. At the end of the profile 1 there is a separable stopper 3 which closes the fitting and protects connectors the feeding cables connectors of the conduit 2. The stopper 3 ties outside the end of the profile 1 and its side wall 11, which covers profile 1 side, has a shape of profile 1 cross-section outline.

The stopper 3 on the profile 1 is set with a longitudinal bend of its bottom part j ! 2 fastened on cover 9 of the profile 1 and with a pin 13 coming out of external side of its side wall 11 which enters the recess 8 of the arm 7 of the profile 1. The pin 13 has a shape of a half cylinder which corresponds with the shape of the cross-section of the longitudinal recess 8 of the arm 7. After mounting the fitting on a stair step, the pin 13 located in recess 8 is immobilized with the arm 7 tightened to the stair step.

In the other exemplary execution the fitting of the linear light source, presented in fig. 2 is designed to mark object outlines, evacuation ways or traffic arteries in which it is mounted on walls or ceilings. In such design of the fitting, in its profile 14 at both sides come out from the seat 4 symmetrically longitudinal arms 15 which are connected under seat 4 with the mounting part 16 of a shape close to a letter U. The seat 4 of the profile 14 has a partly open bottom and the opening is a longitudinal slot 17 running through the whole length of the profile 14. And the arms 15 of the profile 14 from the seat 4 are inclined towards the base.

In profile 14 between the arms 15 the seat 4 and the mounting part 16 there is a closed space designed for location of cables which feed the conduit 2. And the slot 17 of the seat 4 enables fastening the fitting to the base through which it is possible to fasten with screws the mounting part 16 to the base.
