Title:
FIXATION DEVICE FOR STABLY INTERLINKING AT LEAST TWO BONE FRAGMENTS OF A BROKEN BONE AND CORRESPONDING FIXATION ELEMENT AND KIT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2006103087
Kind Code:
A8
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fixation device (1.1) for stably interlinking at least two bone fragments of a broken bone. Said fixation device comprises at least one base (2) for receiving at least one fracture pin (7) and at least one fixation rod (6). The base (2) and the fixation rod (6), in a first interlinked state, are released to adjust their relative position, and in a second interlinked state, are rigidly interlinked to fixate the adjusted position. A clamping holder (3) received by the base (2) by means of bearings (4) in such a manner that its angle can be adjusted receives a fixation rod (6). The base (2), the clamping holder (3) and the bearing (4) are arranged in series in a prestressing bar connection (5). The clamping holder (3) is configured by a holder which, in an area for adjusting and maintaining the adjusted position, is guided on the base (2) in all directions in space. The clamping holder (3) and at least one bearing element (41, 42) of the bearing (4) through which a prestressing bar extends are positively locked, thereby providing spatial guidance.
